Hello
I have just built my system
intel I7 920 N0 SLBEJ
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2
PALIT Ge Force 9600GT 1GB Sonic Dual DVI
3 x 2GB Corsair 1333mhz 9-9-9-24 Ram DDR-3

When i power it up all the fans and lights come on. But no POST beep

I have taken all the sticks of RAM out and i get 1 long then 2 short beeps

I then have put 1 stick in at a time but this time no beeps at all.

I have tried resetting the CMOS but still the same.

Do i have to use a VGA graphics card to start with until i load the drivers up?
I have tried the monitor on my laptop using VGA out and it works fine. Just can't test the DVI.

Yes i've been though all the points on the checklist.

its strange why i don't get any beeps. but get beeps when the memory is installed.
I've tried both DVI ports on the graphics card and even tried the VGA adater with them both to see if that made any difference but still nothing on the monitor or no post beep

Does anyone know if you can flash the bios to an updated one without the CPU. As i am thinking that the I7 920 D0 processor won't work without the update?

Thanks

it should work without an update. Can you take a picture of the inside of your PC? So we can take a look at how you did the wiring.

How many beeps do you hear?

Hi
I don't hear any beeps.
Only one long then 2 short beeps when i remove all of the RAM.
No beeps when only 1 stick is inserted or 2 sticks.

I've added some pictures. I have also tried using the intel fan instead of the Noctua

I had the same setup, using several different VGA cards (9800GTX, 9400GT, 9500GT...) and this is my findings:

1- You cannot boot/connect any DVI LCD to port 1 to any VGA
3- You must reset the Bios if you connect the DVI LCD to port 1.

If you boot with an analog LCD or a DVI screen to port 2, you should be fine...

I have just recieved a new motherboard but still the same problem remains.

Do you mean port one on the graphics card? Or do you mean the main PCI Express card slot?
I've tried putting my graphics card in other PCI express slots but still nothing

I tried my friends working pci express grahpics car that doesn't need an extra power connection but still it won't boot.
