Hello from looking into more about a cpu fan I have discovered that others people having troubles with ram clearance. The mother board I
am getting is the ASRock H97 Pro4 LGA1150 Intel H97 with a cooler master 212 evo. Due to the larger size if the cooler should I just keep the stock cooler or buy a after market cooler. Lastly I would like to keep away from Water cooling. And this will be a gaming pc. Thanks, nick

The fan height is adjustable.
Or you can put it on the other side.
Or you can buy low profile RAM.

Since you won't be doing any overclocking on that board (it's not supported anyways), the stock Intel CPU cooler will do the job as it was designed to. An aftermarket cooler never hurts though. You shouldn't run into any clearance issue if you mount the cooler vertically. You could possibly run into clearance issues if using high profile RAM like Corsair Dominators.
