i7 Devils Canyon 4.0 GHz idling at 49 Degress Celsius on a CoolerMaster Seidon 120V - pls help.

I am not sure why this is so high, and it worries me that i wont be able to stress it or overclock. any reasons why it would be this high or anything i could do to fix it?

1. Remove the cooler.

2. Check to see the thermal Paste is SPREAD across the ENTIRE chip.

3. If it isnt, clean the block and cpu with 99% alcohol and a paper towel.

4. Reapply thermal paste.

5. Remount cooler.

120mm rad AIOs tend to be worse than high end aircooling. You may have thermal paste problems
