Hi guys, first post for me here, but I've sulked along in the background and ya'll have helped me on MANY occasions before. I hope you can do so now! 😀
I am looking to get this built in hopefully 2 weeks. I'm hoping for this build to last 2 years or so before having to add/replace parts. I'll be using it for gaming mostly.Depending on how impatient I am, I will most likely be OC'ing, up to around 3.6 Ghz.
Here's the parts:
COOLER MASTER Storm Sniper (with an extra Storm Force 200mm side fan)
Corsair TX 850W
Intel Core i7 Processor i7-920
Cooler Master V10
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2
CORSAIR Dominator 6GB (3 x 2GB ) 240-Pin DDR3 1600
Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS 300GB SATA2
Samsung SH-S223F 22X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW SATA Drive
XFX nVidia GeForce 295 GTX 1792MB
Creative Labs X-Fi XtremeGamer
Microsoft Vista Home Premium 64-bit
When I upgrade it, I'll likely add more/better ram, add another GTX 295 (or something shinier), and get a bigger PSU if needed.
Does anyone see any problems with this build? Does anyone have any positive suggestions to stop me from building a ~2000$ brick not fit to play pong on? Tips to make it quieter would be beneficial.
I appreciate all of your feedback!
