Hi,

Im building my new i7 the main usages is video encoding and gaming please tell me where you think I can improve and possibly save on money if I gone to extreme. I like to go overkill on the PSU btw

And I've seen this RAM, but I'm not sure if OCZ is as good as Corsair, but it has 7-7-7-24 timing and is $5 cheaper.

By curiosty, why the Gene motherboard? I'm trying to figure which board I want. Most were saying going with the Asus P6T deluxe.

Get a SAMSUNG Black 22X DVD+R, change the samsung hdd to a Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB, they offer a 5 year warranty. Other than that everything looks alright, but consider changing your ram.
