Hi,
I'm relatively new to hardware;

System
i73770k (not overclocked)
z77 sabertooth motherboard
silent eagle 1200mm (i think) closed loop liquid cooling
16gb ram
gtx 680 4gb

Problem:
CPU is liquid cooled by 120mm Liquid cooling silent eagle closed loop cooling system,
Its idle temp is between 35-41 (which I think is high)
Playing battlefeild 4 I get temps of around 72 degrees to 80 degrees
doing research I know this isnt safe at all (it could burn out my CPU), I dont understand what I can do to lower this.
The fans on the liquid cooling system seem to be fine, and are running as usual.

Possible solutions I have thought about:

(i dont know if thermal paste has been used already, Im assuming so) to use new thermal paste (good quality)

Get a completely new cooling system.

I really want to reduce the temperature if you have any knowledge of how to do this it will be really
Thanks

"Playing battlefeild 4 I get temps of around 72 degrees to 80 degrees"

These temps are not super bad. They are on the warm side for a system that is not over clocked. I would probably like them in the low 70s high 60s depending on your ambient temperature.

As to how to get them down, check you water block to make sure it is installed evenly over the CPU and is not leaning to one side or the other. Try cleaning off your thermal paste and apply less than you did the first time to see if it is any better.
