Hey guys, first time posting on the forums here. I'm asking this question more for my own peace of mind because I'm sure there's tons of threads like this, so I apologize now. Anyways, I've been messing around with my new build and wanted to get a few peoples feed back on my cpu temps, I tested using Aida 64 extreme for an hour with an i7-4790k which is being cooled by a H105 extreme AIO liquid cooler. With an overclock of 4.7ghz and a voltage of 1.3021, Cores #0-#2 averaged about 60-75 degrees, maxing out at 82 on core #0, while core #3 only got to 76 with an avearage of 55-65. I think these temps are pretty good but I'm pretty new to overclocking so anyones feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks again everyone.

Your...

Your temperatures are normal you don't have to worry about nothing. Haswell processors are deplacing a lot of heat so... as I said it's normal

Hey everyone, thanks for the quick responses. So just a quick update, I dialed the volts down to 1.28 like legend suggested and after an hour of aida64 it looks like I've got about a 5 degree drop in every core on average. So my question now I guess is should I try dialing in the voltage in a little more by starting from 1.25 and working my way up or just be happy with what I've got? I'm sure its more a matter of personal preference but I figure I might as well ask anybody that knows more than I do about the subject. Thanks again for the quick responses and appreciate the future help.

So another question I wanted to add on to this I guess is I'm getting some strange jittering and stuttering in video playback on youtube but it only seems to be for a few particular channels. Could this be a product of an unstable overclock? My load isnt past like 5-6% on any core. I asked a buddy to watch a few of the same videos just in case but it seems he didnt have the same issues as I did.

Ok some more testing and I've isolated the issue to google chrome. Might it be something to do with my ram since chrome opens up so many processes? Also do I want to have XMP enabled or diasbled on a Z97 board when I'm OC'ing my cpu?
