So I have my i7 7700k, and I have it OC'ed at 4.6ghz and 1.2volts. And it no matter what I am doing it stay at a constant 1.2548volts. Is this fine and if not. Shhould I do adaptive or auto for OC.

Also when my computer is idle, the mHZ bounces from like 800mhz to 2000mhz at sometimes, is that fine, or is that something to worry about.

THANK YOU!

For one thing, I'm confused as to why the voltage won't stay, assuming you set it in BIOS. I'm an AMD Overclocker, so I can't attest to how Intel overclocks, but I'm sure that you should never, ever do an auto voltage while overclocking. Or it'll sometimes jump to insane voltages. (One time while overclocking my Ryzen the voltage accidentally stuck on auto, while at 3.8 Ghz, so it jumped as high as 1.5V) I believe 1.25V is perfectly fine, and bouncing Mhz while not active is strange, because if your overclock is working, you should not ever drop below your CPU set ratio.

So its fine that its idle, bouncing from 800mhz to 2000mhz at sometimes. and 1.25 is fine constant at all times.
So overall, manual is good and the boucning from 800 to 2000 is fine?
Oh yeh and whats cpu set ratio?

Well, I'd wait until someone else responds, because as I said, I've only ever overclocked on AMD.
