So im not able to decide btw
I7 4770
I7 4770k
I7 4790
I7 4790k

Now i know k means overclockable
But i dont think i would be over clocking cause my cabinet is a custom one with not very good airflow and also psu is 550watt (r9 270x gfx also)
Also if i overclock can i do it on h87/97 motherboard specifications say u can.
My nudget is tight so i prefer cheaper but if it a great difference in performence i will go for better

Hi. The perfromance of i7 4770 and it's "K" edition is just that it is overclockable, same speed with the intel CPU Turbo technology.
Now the difference between i7 4770(k) and 4790(k) is the speed. 4770 and the K edition are both at 3.9GHz at max speed, while the 4790 (non-k) is at 4.0GHz. At last the 4790 K edition is clocked at 4.4GHz.

It really depends on what you weight towards (money, speed, overclocking). I can only tell you what I would do.

I would buy the 4790k (it's on sale at newegg.com for the same price as 4770K). Then i would save up some money, buy a bigger case and get it all together. You will get more performance. For overclocking you want an aftermarket cooler, but that comes later, right? You don't need to start...
i7 4770 and 4770k is no longer interesting since they are older
k is for OC, non-k is not for OC
H87/Z87 is old and no longer interesting, H97/Z97 is new
H97 is not for OC, Z97 is for OC

If you do not plan to OC, pick i7 4790+H97 for now.
If you do not plan to use dedicated GPU a.k.a. will buy a GPU like GTX770, I would also recommend E3-1231V3.
E3-1231V3 is a i7 4790, without its iGPU, not for OC and slightly underclocked but with the price of i5 4690k.

This is how i think: If you're going to buy something that is that good and so pricey, why not save up a little bit more and buy something that is a little bit better. The amount of money you spend to get a bit better processor is nothing compared to what you pay for the whole thing. But again this is just me.

And yes you can overclock with your motherboard.

You get some different technology with the non - k version such as vt-d and vt-pro; however, if you do not plan on using much virtualization then you had might as well go for the "k" variant as it leaves you open to future if OC if you wish. Also, there is not much a price difference between the 4770k and the 4790k with the 4790k being the better buy new out of the two. Not worth the upgrade from a 4770k but new it is worth it.
