My config:

i9-10900k
2080Ti for main Monitor
980Ti for the second monitor
Z490-E gaming Strix Mobo
NZXT X63 280mm

Even with liquid cooling, running a CPU-Z benchmark takes the temps up to 90C. Even during gaming, I get a sudden spike in CPU usage and temps hit 80C briefly before coming back down. Is this normal?

Solution
have you tried lowering the voltage of the cpu?
it makes a huge difference.
and also with those cpus the benchmark temps can be very different to when you are playing games

In what PC case? That’s a lot of heat in total.

Lancool 2. I have left the case open otherwise my GPUs start touching 70C+. With the case open, 2080 ti remains between 60-65c and 980ti runs hotter around 65-68c. CPU temps remain unchanged regardless of the case open/closed config,
