i9 12 and 13 gens - still overheating issues?

I have a laptop with a 10th gen i9, and the processor hits TJMax all of the time. Do the 12 and 13 gen laptop CPUs have the same problem?

I am sure it still happens. It depends on the manufacturers of the laptop. I would look up reviews before purchasing a laptop on that premise.

If it hits Tjmax during heavy workloads but keeps at least above base clocks then that's normal and how they are supposed to work.
If it does so while doing light loads or drops below base clocks only then do you have a problem.

You can disable the advanced turbo settings or set a lower temp target in bios if you want lower temps.
