I am getting a laptop with an RTX 4090 and 64GB or RAM, but I cannot decide which processor I want, i9-13900HX or Ryzen 9 7945HX. AMD has better multi-core performance but Intel has better single core performance. AMD has 2x the L3 cache but Intel has 2x the L2 cache.

Prices are close enough that that is not a deciding point.
Screen sizes/quality are close enough that this is not a deciding point.
Cooling systems are close enough that this is not a deciding point.

Does anyone have actual WoW Dragonflight experience with both processors?

WoW has never been a game that requires cutting edge hardware.

I really hope you didn't buy a laptop with 4090 for WoW... because that would be an insult to the card. :ROFLMAO:

I want to be able to max everything out, graphics tab and optional tab, and get >120 FPS at 1440P, even in cities and dungeons. I'll settle for >75FPS in full raids.

Assuming there aren't any problems with the game and E cores chances are the 13900HX will be faster as wow has always been fairly lightly threaded and eats up IPC (this is also assuming decent power limits and cooling of course).

I have exactly the same 2 laptop CPU's in mind for WoW (but with 4070). I'm debating between the better single core performance of the i9 or the double cache memory of the 7945hx. The 7745hx seems to get pretty hot in the legion 5 pro, so I have doubts about the thermals of the 7945hx in the legion 5 pro.
