How much better is a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro than a MSI MPG Z390M Gaming Edge AC? I have always been a Gigabyte fan, but does it really have the edge? Thanks

One is ATX, while the other is mATX, one has wireless connectivity bundled into the board while the other doesn't, one has an extra display output port but they both have the same number of M.2 slots, audio codec but the VRM design looks more robust on the Gigabyte board.

I have always been a Gigabyte fan, but does it really have the edge?
Edge over/on/for what?

If your case can accept the ATX board and you don't need wireless connectivity, pick the Gigabyte motherboard.

The edge part was a small pun, from the MSI Gaming Edge. That is what I was thinking, too, having read some, but I always like to get input when I can from enthusiasts that have actually had their hands on these motherboards or who actually know what VRMs are and do. Thanks.

I'll have both of these motherboards and an 8700k and a 9900k. It makes sense to put the 9900k in the Gigabyte.
