Just upgraded my computer,

Motherboard: asus z390-f Gaming

So the installation went well and things are working, my bios shows 8 working cores all enabled with hyperthreading enabled aswell. But my taskmanager says I have 4 cores insteed of 8.

Someone please help!

Make sure you have the BIOS updated to the latest vers.

Update Windows 10, run Windows Update.

You have to change the view in task manager.

Open task manager.

Click the performance tab.

Select CPU

Right click on any of the graphics.

Highlight change graph to.

Click on Logical Processers.

Ahhh... It now shows 8 cores, it still says 4 cores 8 threads but I think thats because i didn´t re-install windows maybe? But if it shows 8 there im good right? Thanks for the help!

I'll try that!
Cheers mate!

There is also a quick and dirty way of installing Windows 10 and keeping all of your stuff.

You go to the Windows 10 download page on the MS website.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Click Update Now.

That will reinstall Windows 10 while keeping your files etc.

Not a clean install but it's something to try.

You will have to install some drivers however depending so check that if you do it.
