Hey TH Fam,
Currently I am using a 9900k with a Maximus code xi since 2019 now i pulled the trigger on the 12900k and Rog strix z690 e gaming wifi. The reason is obviously it's cheaper and with in my budget. I am using a 3090Ti and play my games at 4K, i just believe it's been bottlenecking. How much of a performance jump would i see ? How much different these two processors are ?

It depends on what you are doing.

If you run a high resolution and settings, it will all be on the GPU.

If you run eSports settings, quite a large difference. Intel increased the cache size quite a bit per core with Alderlake, and the clock speeds aren't bad either. 5.3Ghz all core is the typical I think I saw for 12900K.

I did, it's too complicated some of the stuff. Wish i was that Tech Savy

From the appearance of your OP, if you already have purchased the 12900K, then enjoy. It is for sure going to be a nice boost and should be significant enough to notice for a variety of tasks even outside of gaming. It will also leave you with a nice path towards something 5 generations newer than the 9900K. The motherboard you picked looks to be a good candidate for it down the road.
