Hi all,

So I've got a computer with an i7 8th Gen. processor, 64 GB RAM, and an RTX 2080. I like to play games on 3 screens (5760x1080), and while the framerate isn't horrible, it isn't great either, so I'm wondering if getting an i9 processor would make a big enough difference with the FPS of my games (for example, Battlefield V and Anthem).

Thanks!

No what you need is more GPU power ,your card is great for 1080p and very good for 1440p but for the resolution you play on it's too weak.
You could run the games at 1080 just to see what a better CPU could improve in FPS if the GPU weren't an issue at all.

you are effectively running 3/4th of 4k res in pixel count(4k is equivalent to 4 each 1080P displays), just stretched wide instead of tall; it is still a lot of pixels, largely limited by your GPU vice the CPU...

A new i9 and Z390 MB at ~$800 to achieve approximately 2-3 more FPS hardly seems cost-effective....

Only you can decide if the cost of a 2nd 2080 (if your chosen board and games support SLI) or a 2080Ti is warranted...
