IBM 75GXP, ASUS A7V133, ATA100, minor boot problem

i have a minor problem where my computer will boot, then post that i have a disk boot failure. but if i press enter it will go about its business. i went into the bios and turned off everything it could boot from except for the ATA100 interface but still the same problem. it works fine but i feel as though my computer is sticking something in my face everytime i turn it on. does anyone have any idea about how i could remedy this minor annoyance?

ummm... try disabling the virus protect in bios. I'm not sure if that works for a7v133 but it does with a7v.

Try updating your bios to at least 1004, if not 1005a. And turn the virus detection on/off, to see if it changes anything.
