IBM P-260 Milky/Gamma ... problem?

I got a 21'' IBM P260 CRT (Trinitron) along with a nice little 17'' Mitsubishi today off Craigslist (Figured $30 for both of 'em so what the hell)

Anyway this is the problem I have with the IBM (see pic)
-White Concave Trinitron on the Left
-Black Flatscreen IBM P260 Trinitron on the Right

I've adjusted all settings and am currently tweaking it - the colors and everything look fine it just looks like its gamma'd all the hell and I've already adjusted all the brightness settings I can possibly think of.

As always, anyone whose dealt with this before and helps me will have my eternal gratifications :-D

Maybe you could describe your problem a little better since we can't see it. "gamma'd all the hell" is not a technical term I am familiar with.
