I keep getting alerts on one of our customers systems that the battery for the PERC controller needs to be re-calibrated. I have looked all through-out the web and couldn't find anything on this, and IBM/Lenovo was no help, as they can't do anything unless it's under warranty or billed for service. All I'm looking for is documentation on how to recalibrate the battery so we stop getting these continuous alerts. Anyone know any info on this?

It depends on which Perc is in there but it should kick off an automatic relearn process every 90 days.

You usually can kick it off manually with a CLI command: bbulearn

See your Perc's documentation
Thats the problem, we have no documentation on the hardware of the system (as it was bought by the client before we took them over) and I cannot for the life of me find any info on the PERC controller

Well the IBM did not come with a Dell controller so you will have to use other means; such as physical inspection or pci info from windows device mananger>storage controller> hardware id's...

The IBM had options M5014 & 5015 controllers for ones with bbu's.
