Hello guys
I have a System x3850 x5 from IBM
Now its running with 4 2.5'' SAS RAID 5(300GB per HDD SAS), and there are still 4 empty intetnal storage drives that i didn't use to upgrade my storage
Last week, it became nearly full. So my boss request to upgrade the storage.
So now, this is my problem.
if i use 4 2.5" SAS with 1TB per HDD, so will it run with those 300GB had installed before?
And can i create 2 raids running together?
I have searched many websites on IBM but no results. Please help

While it can technically be done, you don't run disks of different sizes in the same RAID volume. Reason is you will be limited on the per disk size to that of the smallest disk. Therefore you would just be wasting 700GB of space on each 1TB drive.
Thanks for your replying to me
All things are running good here now. And i just replaced all 4 SAS HDD drive with 300GB each of them by 1TB. It was a hard time, because of the database, i needed to transfer it to new storage.
