Question IBM T41 recovery

Hi all,
i have a problem while recovering win xp on my old ibm t41 laptop.I have one old hdd hitachi 4200 rpm 60gb,and now i upgrade it to hitachi 5400rpm 80gb.
I finished "first" stage of reocvering and when it start second stage,windows request windows activation.
How i can install it without activation window,and is it normal that oem windows request activation?

Make sure the clock on your laptop has the right time.
I suggest you clone the old 60GB HDD into the new 80GB drive.
The activation is located in a partition in the old hard drive.
Or you will have to go thru the automated phone activation.

If Windows detects a hardware change it can ask to activate again.

What do you mean here by "recovering", are you running the recovery disks to re-install Windows on the new drive? Why can't you put in the code for XP on the system to activate it? Or contact MS and check with them.
