I want to connect the ibm travelstar ata/ide hdd to my asus external sata port . Is there a interface cable for this ?
Ok the hdd came out of a hp laptop it plugs into the laptop directly no cable. their are 2 rows of pins 21 in 1 row with a gap in the middle and a row of 22 pins plus on 1 side there are 4 pins 2 rows of 2. The pins don't match up with an ide cable. I just want to retrieve the data on the drive the lap top is dead. It doesn't matter what interface I use usb or sata or even a ide the problem is that the pins on the hdd don't match up with anything im familiar with (PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME)
