I have IBM x3650 M3 server and it's giving me hard time because I have other M2 systems that seem to work fine with SSD and is able to detect during windows server installation.
Here is the latest and hopefully someone knows an answer,
- I changed bios to use "Legacy mode" only
- It boots thru Windows server 2012 but it doesnt detect hard drive so, i cant install Windows on it
- I am assuming these servers were setup on RAID and i am able to read the hard drive if i go into RAID utility
- I tried changing different BIOS options and nothing seems to work. I even tried disabling SAS controller etc. but no luck
Before it wasnt even booting thru DVD but after Legacy change, it boots thru Windows OS but as i said, it doesnt detect SSD drive. I have tried 2 different SSD but no luck.
I downloaded a driver from IBM site for SAS/SATA/SSD for Windows server but it still doesnt detect the drive. I can upload screenshots if required but right now, I am stuck with this server. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
