[SOLVED] Ibook G4 Black chime then black screen

Hi. I have a problem with my old Ibook G4. Yesterday it crashed when I was using Mactubes. The screen was partially replaced by the command line telling me that a kernel problem happened. Then I took off the battery and replaced it after a while. I turned it on and heard the chime but the screen was totally black. The caps, num lights works but nothing more. Specs: PowerPc G4 @ 1.33 GHz, RAM expanded to 1.5 Gb, 20 GB of free space in the HD running Tiger. Yeah I know it's a REALLY old mac but I really want to keep it so any help would be very appreciated.

OS problem?

Attempt reinstall, if not I guess it's time for a new laptop? Really isn't worth the cost to fix it.
