Has anyone had experience with an ibp computer? I ordered one on black friday and I feel like I got a good deal on it, it has an i7-6660k, asus 1080 strix, 16gb of ram for $1,273. The only thing I'm worried about is the power supply, I got the default 1000W one that the rep told me is from a brand called "High Power". Should I be worried? Thanks.

Solution
I would have picked a known good quality 550w+ model mate if they had one available personally.

I don't know why it would cost more ?? Doesn't make sense as some of the high power 1000w units are $120-$200 & a corsair cxm or seasonic are in the $70 range.

I wouldn't worry massively though , worst case scenario you'll have a mediocre quality PSU with a ridiculous amount of power overhead - you didn't need even close to that wattage with those components.

The 6660k is an i5 BTW not an i7!

The price you paid is still good though , no doubt about it.
You should probably look into replacing it regardless. Pre-built and Boutique builders (such as IBP) use cheap PSUs and motherboards to cut down costs. Generally speaking unless you pay extra for a reputable, quality brand, its going to be very poor.

I haven't got it yet, they're still assembling right now. This is what the rep told me: "The 1000W is made by a company called "High Power". They do sell retail psus but ours is not a retail sku, its something they make custom for us.
We don't have many problems with them, so I wouldn't worry too much. You can change to a name brand, but it will cost you more and delay the order."

First of all check the processor they are providing and the motherboard is it Z170 motherboard or not. Only Z170 motherboards support OC.

The PSU will be fine for few months, but I would recommend you to upgrade it as soon as possible. 750W PSU should be more than enough.
