ICH10 map spd

Hello,
I tried to enable ICH10 SATA port in IDE mode by writing '1' to ICH10 register 92h-93h (bit0 to bit5) and failed. I saw the spec say those bits are read-only if the MAP.SPD[0:5] is '1'. But I could not find MAP register (90h) has the .SPD field. May someone tell me how to enable each SATA port in IDE mode individually?

Or you can go into the BIOS and change the SATA controllers to use IDE mode.
