Icons move on there own

I have windows 7 and 2 monitors.

If I get a power surge when I am on my computer it turns my computer off and then automatically come back on. When it come back on all the icons that are on my second monitor have moved to my main monitor and some of the icons on my main monitor have also moved around.
Does anyone know why this happens and how to stop it from happening again.

It happens because your system turns off on it's own and does not have a chance to save the locations.

I suggest you get a UPS for you computer to keep it from shutting down and use a different outlet.

You stop it from happening by ensuring your computer does not shut off due to a power failure, a lot worse things can happen to it than just icons moving around.
