icons

I had my friend clean my pc completely out and reload like it was when I got
it about 6 years ago. Everything is ok except I do not see and Icons on my
screen. I can go to Start and do everything else ok. Can anyone Help me?

Assuming they are still there, but your friend "did something" ...used to
freak out people....right click on the desktop > arrange icons by> (check)
show desktop icons. If they are totally gone, go to start >all programs>
search for your favorite programs, right click and send shortcut to desktop.

Has your friend loaded the original operating system, or do you now have
Windows XP?..

Hi,

Right click the desktop, choose 'arrange icons by', then click 'show desktop
icons'.
