I'm trying to help out a friend that is having a pretty unique problem from what I can surmise. They recently got a Corsair Ironclaw RGB wired and plugged it into the system earlier today and whenever they perform any action with the mouse the iCUE profile switches and they have to manually switch back to the profile they made for themselves. I've tried troubleshooting with them and we still can't figure it out. They are running the latest version, 4.13.223. I have tried having them remap the profile switch button to something else, disabled the profile switch button, restarting the pc, restarting iCUE itself, unplugging a peripheral to see if it was a power supply issue, tried unplugging the Ironclaw, Using a different mouse even, nothing seems to be working. They say they don't have any other software to control lighting and the Ironclaw replaced a Razer Naga(?) and that the Razer software was uninstalled. The last suggestion I could think of was a full reinstall of iCUE, and if that fails, trying to use an older version.

What menu options does he have in Icue?

I don't have the mouse but I have a K70 and obviously not all the menus are the same but its possible he has 2 types of Lighting choices
Lighting effects - this runs when Icue is on
Hardware lighting - this is saved onto memory of the mouse.

Anyway to remove the default profile so it can't swap?

have the clicked on the device settings menu , and checked for firmware updates?
same screen on K70 also lets you reset the onboard profiles,

so on the mouse, as it might have a few.

You should be able to set colours to mouse and use it without Icue.

We tried deleting the profiles but because there were the hardware profiles from the mouse that couldn't be permanently deleted iCUE would switch to them whenever a button was pressed on the mouse. I actually had the brilliant idea of setting a profile that was to be used and then save that profile to all the hardware profiles that were available so that it didn't matter if the profile was switching it would switch to a copy of the desired profile and essentially not even do anything.
