So in getting rid of some unneeded hardware, I am building two machines, one for a friend and one for his son.
The one for my son went well (though the kid blew away 4 days of tuning over something stupid), but the one for my friend is quite frankly starting to give me a headache.
Gigabyte GA-B150-GSM board
Intel i7-6700 4C / 8T processor
Stock Intel cooler
HyperX Predator DDR4-2400
Silcon Power A55 256GB SATA M.2
HP Enterprise 1.92TB 2.5 SSD
Corsair CX650F RGB PSU
Thermaltake Core P3 open air chassis
Corsair Lighting Node
Corsair LL120 x 3)
The machine runs great, but no lighting effects are registering with the fans. The PSU does its default unicorn-puke rainbow thing, but it can't be changed, nor can any others be addressed.
I've double checked all connections, swapped controllers, bypassed a USB splitter, and I am nowhere.
Has anyone else seen this before?
I'll say this, I am never buying Corsair products again. They have been nothing but trouble for me.
