I plan on ordering the 5500 next week and I figured the stock cooler wouldn't be enough and the reviews for the ID cooling say that it's the best budget CPU cooler. I'm using an Rx6600xt and will only be gaming at 1080p high/ultra 60fps.Just a style difference. Not really much of an improvement over the stock AMD cooler. Is that what you have now?
The deepcool gammax 300R is my other option but maybe I should get the CPU first and see if the stock cooler is enough. The ID cooling device should be slightly better than the OEM cooler, it should definitely be quieter when spinning faster. The OEM cooler meets the basic needs of cooling the CPU, albeit loud.
Agreed. That is a good idea. The deepcool gammax 300R is my other option but maybe I should get the CPU first and see if the stock cooler is enough.
