I'd like a mouse similar to the logitech m720 in shape and specs.

Title. walked into a staples today and saw a demo for this and tested it out and it fits my hand unlike any other mouse I've tried, it's almost perfect, and it even has a freewheel scrolling button for the 5 or so times I'd use it. unfortunately several things put a damper on it: it's a wireless mouse, and not a gaming grade one at that. its main focus is use on multiple monitors which is part of where the price range goes. it's also only 1k dpi and I game at 1100 and would like at least 2 or 3k to ensure no wobbling.
currently switching between the steelseries sensei and mionix castor on modified fingertip grip and both of them are good, but always feel a little off, the castor tapers off at the pinky and has a slightly awkward shoulder at the ring finger and I'm often shifting them around to find a spot for them, it also has the tiniest bit of sensor drift no matter what I do but that I can deal with mostly. the sensei has a better taper and I know where I'd like to put my fingers, but is a tad long and bumps into my palm when I need to do things lower on the screen until I shift my hand, and then I need to reposition when moving back up, the natural place for my ring finger is also where they stuck one of the side buttons so I had to disable it in order to use it properly but it still bugs me whenever I feel it click.

I just took a quick look at some pictures of the m720. It seems very similar to the m602 which I used for years until recently. I actually wore one out and replaced it with another. It is a wireless mouse but it is a gaming grade mouse. You might want to look into it.

I replaced it recently with a G900 Chaos mouse and love it. It is quite expensive. I got it on sale on Black Friday at 50% off and after lusting for it a while that was an irresistible price. If you can swing the cost I highly recommend it. Great switches, top quality sensor, and insane polling rate and dpi.

I've felt out the g900 and it's quite a bit larger than I'd like for my hand and way too long (my hands are 17 1/2 in. from wrist to middle finger I forgot to mention, my apologies). I feel like I could potentially claw grip it but I'm pretty set into my current grip. I did highly consider the g602, except there was no open demo at the store and I'm not certain how all those buttons work next to the thumb grip and I prefer simpler with maybe one or two buttons at max. I did get to test out the g502 next to it (spectrum) and was pretty impressed with the feel and features but again a bit long and many buttons.
ultimately I'm testing an m65 pro a friend has loaned me while I mull it over.
