So , I've had 6GB of ram on my pc , and I wanted to upgrade , so I bought a 8GB ram card to test if it works before buying another one. I copied the entire text that was written on my 2GB rams (speed etc.) , so that it will be the exact same model just of 8GB , and found the matching item. I put it on my pc and it never worked. Is there something I might have done wrong?

Sorry I wasnt clear, I didnt actually mix rams ,I did remove the ram I had and I put the 8GB of ram alone.
"...to test if it works before buying another one "
And even then you would be "mixing".
Unless the RAM was sold as a set, there is a chance it wouldn't work.

But, to your current 8GB...
Please give us some details on this system and the RAM you bought.
Make/model of everything.

8GB ram I bought: NT8GC64B8HB0NF-DI 8GB. 2R*8. P CC3-10600U-11-12-BO. 1333

BaseBoard Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
BaseBoard Pruduct: 304Bh
BaseBoard version : Not Available
This motherboard?

-----------------
4 * 240-pin DDR3 DIMM slots Supports Dual Channel DDR3 1333/1066 MHz non-ECC , un-buffered memory. (16GB Max)
-----------------

It seems it will not accept 8GB RAM sticks.
4x4GB, for a total of 16GB max.

Yes
Thank you very much .

Last question : Any 4GB DDR3 1333MHZ 10600U will do? Or should I buy the same NANYA cards?
