PC makers pin their hopes on AI-powered PCs, yet the category has struggled to gain traction so far; IDC expects to see stronger adoption by 2026 as the technology matures and the ecosystem around them improves.

If that's true then PC makers are idiots. Most people don't care about AI and many will go out of their way to avoid buying AI certified PCs.

It is like "experts" was "surprised" by sales drop for pc and laptops after huge spikes at start of COVID.

I never understood that expectations of infinite growth, especially now, there evend 5-10 year old pc is plenty enough for any light office work or home usage...
