IDE Cd drive on asus M5A97 Motherboard

I am currently looking to build my own computer, and after forgetting about the 90 dollar OS in my prices Im trying to save money. I have 4 or 5 old cd drives from old dell computer on windows xp they have the flat 40 wire 20 pin connectors but the motherboard only has sata 6g/s ports. Even if i were to buy a new drive im not sure it even has a cable for that connection.

You can get a PCI -> IDE card for $10 or so, and use the old one.

But a new SATA DVD drive is only $18 or so.

Yeah this is what I realized, but looking at the drives on tigerdirect I cant tell if they come with the SATA cables required. I know the motherboard comes with one or two, but like I said I dont know how many because the HDD uses one, or if the drive comes with its own.

They may or may not (probably do). But monoprice.com has them for $0.60 each. Order a few extra just in case.
