IDE Hard Drive to SATA MOBO

I was wondering if I used this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812232004
to connect my hard drive to my MOBO instead of the IDE, would it give me SATA transfer speeds?

No. IDE drives went up to ATA-133. Sata 1 starts at 150Mb/s
