Hi all,

First post here, I'm wondering what everyones thoughts are on what GPU they might purchase?
Some context - looking to get the most out of my monitor which is shown in the parts list below using 1440p res and with all graphics settings maxed out without going nuts on the budget (that's right 4090 I'm looking at you)

I currently have a "Gigabyte Radeon RX 7600 XT GAMING OC 16GB" GPU in my list which is what I've purchased and yet to even receive in the post, upon reasearching this GPU after hitting the "Buy now" button (I promise I almost never do this!) I've come to realise I've made a grave mistake in purchasing this GPU if I want to be getting the most out of my monitor
Being a complete newbie on their first build I'll confess I got a bit blindsided by the 16GB of VRAM at this price point without really considering if the clock speeds would even be good enough to utilise this much VRAM effectively.

I've heard lots about the "Sapphire PULSE AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XT 20GB" being a solid choice for my sort of fps targets (albeit more than double the price of the RX 6700 XT)

Regarding the CPU - I figured the AD Ryzen 5 7600x is a fairly solid choice for what I'm looking to acheive (I think!) but open to suggestions on what other AM5 CPUs others might choose instead and what GPU to pair with it

Regarding my budget for the CPU and GPU - looking at around the £1,000 mark maybe pushing to £1,200 max
I've been buying all the components over the last couple of weeks, since the beginning of December, now I'm just waiting on my Motherboard (pre-ordered on the 3rd of December... yes still waiting) and the CPU, GPU and monitor which I should receive over the next couple of days

Yes I have gone overboard on the PSU and motherboard, this is intentional for the reason that I wanted to eliminate the possibility that I'd need to upgrade either of these 2 components for many more years to come when I'd be looking to upgrade my GPU and CPU to the top of the line or close to (for whatever's available at that moment in time).

Thank you all for reading my longwinded post! I welcome any & all criticism or feedback you may have :)
