Identify my video card

Hello,
I'm trying to play a game on my laptop but after installation when i hit play "new game" it freezes,and before that it tells me that my video hardwere is unrecognized and sets my video quality to medium...does sb know how to fix this plz

That is fairly normal with games autodetects -- if you video card was released after the game was then there is no way the game autodetect can detect the settings for your video card and so the game sets itself to medium (or whatever default the game developers chose) -- just go into the options and set it correctly for your hardware (since you didn't mention it it's hard to give advice) -- might also be that your laptop chipset is not capable of running the game (if it is an Intel chipset based system and the game requires Hardware transform and lighting which only the newest Intel chipsets support ! - but would need more info on the system to tell for sure.)

List your laptop vendor/model/part number. Bit hard to find out what you have without any info. Also list what game you are trying to play, it may just be incompatable with the hardware you have.
