Ok. I've read some things in RAM. we all knew that we always use some tools like CPU-Z , etc..

but It is possible to identify what type of RAM either DDR2, DDR , etc without using those software and by just looking into the RAM slot? not even reading the stickers that is placed in the RAM stick
nor reading some mobo documentation.
nor using anything special programs. even CLI

Can you identify if we have to RAM's and no embedded sticker on them. which one is ddr1 or ddr2 by just looking at them.

I open this discussion to allow us if we will come up with that kind of scenario like no internet .etc.

Solution
Sure. Depends on where the notch is for the RAM.

You can Identify DDR, DDR2,DDR3 and DDR4 based on the number of pins, but I dont think it would be possible to tell the speed and timing of the stick simply by looking at it.
and the spacing of the notches is different as getochkn pointed out.

how could I know. if the position is the right position when examining it.

what if I will flip it. it transfer the notch position : like in DDR

in your pic it is located in left side. if i will flip the memory card it will now go in the right side.

so how could i know ? is there such indicator or symbol?
