hey all
i'm going to the fort washington computer show this weekend (philly area) to look for some cc0 (or maybe cb0) p3's. And i wanted to know if theres a way to tell what the stepping is by looking at the chip/core. Or would it be possible to tell by the manufacturer's part number:

BX80526F700256E <--- p3-700 fcpga retail

i'd appreciate any help

You wanted it here you go.
You have to look under the S-SPEC on the chip.

CCO = SL4CH & SL4M7

CBO = SL3XX & SL45Y

These are for FCPGA 700/100 INTEL P3 CPU

Hope this helped.
Good Luck.

The S-SPEC Is actually a identifer on the flip chip face
with all the other writing.
Its part of the product identifier code on the actual chip.
If those are on it you have what you want if not keep looking.
