I had an AMD stock wraith cooler which was giving me really bad temps, so i bought a cooler master hyper h411r cooler to try fix it. I installed it on an AM4 socket on an r5 2600x with everything running correctly. Temps were better over 100% cpu usage but the idles didnt really change. Have i done something wrong? I put the reccomended ammount of thermal paste and definetly put it on correctly.

Specs:
R5 2600X
GTX 1660TI
B450M BAZOOKA V2
16GB 3200MHZ RAM
Silentium 650w PSU
Cooler master masterbox lite 5
120gb SSD
7200rpm 1TB HDD

Hyper H410R and 11R both has the 92mm fan 40C idle is decent. Maybe we can expect more from a 120MM HSF like the one in Hyper 212. Even then your idle temp is not anywhere near concerning. Did you add extra fans at the back? Try testing with the case open if you don't have an exhaust fan adding one might help even more since your ambient temp is low. Or you could run a custom fan curve for the HSF but if you ask me i don't think it's needed you are fine.
