whats considered a normal (safe?) delta for a 6600?

currently load idle is about 37C, full load under P95 ive seen reach 68C

now, is that a safe load temp? and is that a normal delta? I have no idea how the difference managed to get so large

currently running 392mhz at 9x multiplier. 1.55vcore (cant get it stable with anything less)

well its a p180 case, with 1 outtake at the back, 1 outtake on top. both set to medium

then i have one in the bottom chamber where the hard drives are

theyre set to medium right now, but even when i turned it up to high it didnt really affect the temperature too much which is why i didnt think changing the fans around would make a difference

im using core temp

could it be high temp because im using a vcore of 1.55? i currently set it down to 1.45, and under 2 instances of p95, my load temp is 59...

Try moving the fan from the lower chamber up to the intake slot of the upper chamber and remove the upper drive cage. This should improve your cooling around the CPU. Set it to one level above your exhaust fans. Your PSU fan is more than capable of dragging enough air through the lower chamber on its own.

whoa i just tried something similar. well, i kept the HDD fan and the back fan where they are, and i just removed the top fan

that setup with only 2 fans reduced temp by over 10C! um, how? 8O one would think taking a fan away would increase the temp, not reduce it
