idm not working

RESPECTED SIR, I have a window xp genuine valoidation window and processor is x86 family 6 model 23 stepping genuine and model is DG41RQ .i have also installed a active x and adobe flash player update but when i diwnload the internet download manager it works not properly by example when i wants to download the songs from you tube it automatically shows DOWNLOAD THE AUDIO intead of the DOWNLOAD THE VIDEO and when i click it most files of them are 7.69 kb what is the problem please suggest me .thanking you.

You need a browser plugin or extension to download Youtube videos because Youtube won't allow you to download them natively.
There's a Firefox extension to do it with here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/download-youtube/

First off all thanks for your answer but past last year this is running on my pc with internet explorer -8 ie-8 is also supporting and in you tube when i running there is idm option is came there but intead of download video they show download the audio please tell me how can i use it fwith ie-8 bacause since last 9 months i used it but after instaleed the window again this problem is coming.needful help
