IE Crash

[AMD_Man]

I'm using WinMe and whenever I leave the computer on for a while with IE open, it crashes, by itself. My current system specs are:

AMD Athlon 1.2@1.33GHz (perfectly stable, 7 hours of Prime95 torture test so far)
256 Micron PC133 CL2 RAM
Abit KT7A RAID
40GB 7200 RPM Western Digital Hard drive
Asus V7100 Pro @ 260/260 (Perfectly stable)
...

I tired, returning everything to it's default speeds and settings but that doesn't help. Thanks in advance.

Well, it turns out it's related to power management. If I leave IE open and the monitor begins to go into standby mode, IE crashes. How strange... Anyone have any ideas?

I never liked standby. Turn it off.

Both of my computers will not tolerate standby mode. I disabled it on both of them. If your not going to use your computer and you have Win98SE, SHUT IT DOWN. I just stick with the screensaver to protect my monitor...but try disabling ACPI. (Advanced Configuration Power Interface)

Catheter and Caffeine IV are in place. Let's PLAY.
