IE opens blank

Running Windows 7 OS and IE has stopped working. When open the program we just get the shell. Address bar is blank and where web page displays is blank. Can type URL in the address bar and hit enter but it doesn't do anything. Can only access "Internet Options" from control panel have tried several time to reset IE but it tells me I have to close everything - double checked task manager and only thing running is control panel...ugh!

How do I get Google Chrome if I can't access a website to download - can it be saved on a flash drive and installed that way?

Yes. Download it on a different computer, put it on a flash drive, then install it on the computer with IE

you might also try comodo dragon which is a chrome based browser.it has better security features than chrome and you dont have google prying into your habits.just download from another computer to a usb stick and install on yours.

Thanks Lucasz this worked very well - was able to install Google Chrome and reinstall IE. Appreciate the help everyone - saved me a fortune!
