IE Problem

Hello,
OS: Windows 7
Problem: IE and Firefox not opening any web site after every restart.
Observation: 1. Net connection is OK as Avast get updated, Any messenger can open and also SKYPEE works fine.
2. After doing the below on dos prompt, it opening sites

netsh int ip reset reset.log
Enter
netsh winsock reset catalog
Enter
Restart.
Again after restart need to follow the dos command then restart to open site on Explorer and Firefox

Please anybody can help me out.

If you can get AV updates, it may be something in your hosts file, try this good one which will help block nasty sites. I use this all the time.

I was told the procedure was


netsh int ip reset
Enter

restart PC

netsh winsock reset catalog
Enter

Restart PC .

and you have to run cmd as admin even if logged in as an admin account

that worked for me in a similar situation
