Why is it that this file is not available online? THe KB
article says that you have to call microsoft to obtain it.

It seems strange that microsoft calls those programs that
don't have MSIs "older programs" when IE6 doesn't have a
readily availible one either.

What is an MSI wrapper? how does it differ from a normal
MSI?

Thanks

Yes and that's just the tip of the iceberg. The whole IE6 dist has been
broken for ages(no AVS updates on IEAK site), there's even regression
issues now. The way I handle IE6 at the moment is to create an IEAK
build with the latest roll-up, but then to apply windows patches after -
thus avoiding the Certificate Validation regression issue.

Howdy adray!

The msi wrapper launches the original setup program. So
the msi wrapper package IS NOT self repairing as a regular
msi software package. AND installing IE6 using msi wrapper
still demands first logon after update with admin rights,
if not fixed through GPO.

Cheers & peace
