Depending on the component, yes or no.And if it did still work how would it perform?
How would it perform?Depending on the component, yes or no.
A completely non functional CPU = not working
A completely non functional HDD/SSD = not working
Partially functioning RAM = partially working
etc....
Without know what component, and how it was damaged...absolutely no way to tell. How would it perform?
I'm just going to say either it works or it doesn't. Most (if not all) hardware cannot be aware something is damaged and you can't really compare electronics-based machines to mechanical ones. How would it perform?
Assuming one of the many motherboard components fell offWithout know what component, and how it was damaged...absolutely no way to tell.
Again, anything from no problem to total nonfunctionality.Assuming one of the many motherboard components fell off
What sorta issues can this cause? It depends on what exact component was damaged.
For instance, if you manged the data lines to the memory on a CPU, it may work with one less channel. So you'd have something that is basically stuck in single channel mode.
