Hello!
If I have a router which supports WISP and has multiple LAN ports + 1 WAN, let's say a Tenda N301, and I configure it as a WISP router which connects to a existing WLAN.
Can I use the WAN port as a normal LAN port?
and what happens if I would plug in a network cable into the WAN from a existing network?
Same and different from the network the router is already connected via WISP.

I could buy the router and test it but I prefer to ask before I spend money.

Solution
That will depend on the firmware of the specific device. Unless someone has that exact device, configured for WIFI input, you can't get a definitive answer.
Rather than a cheap router, why don't you get a used Asus dual band on E-Bay. An RT-N56U would be a lot better than that Tenda and they are around $20. Run Padavan firmware.
