It will fit, but you will most likely need to update the BIOS before it recognizes the CPU

Just to confirm, it is a yes and as chemmajorp53 has said a BIOS update is required. Also be warned the the 9700K is a hot CPU and requires a good motherboard if you are looking to overclock as the VRM's are proving to be an issue on low to mid range Z370 motherboards..
